Queen Anne Guest House Honored with Master Chef Steve Dowe

The Queen Anne Guest House is honored to recieve culinary lessons under the instructions of European Master Chef Steve Dowe.  Chef Steve is a gold medal-winning European Master Chef who has cooked for England's Queen Mother, the Beatles, and many celebrities over his culinary career.  Chef Steve recieved his culinary degree in his mother land in England and has been delighting guests ever since with his superb cuisine.  Currently Chef Steve is owner and chef of Perry Street Brasserie in Galena IL.  Guests of Perry Street Brasserie enjoy intimate dining and world reknown gourmet dishes.  For more information please visit perrystreetbrasserie.com.

Chef Steve, although humble about his own achievements and success, believes in using your talents and has a great passion in passing on to others his knowledge, skills and cooking experience.  Innkeeper Mike Reese of the Queen Anne Guest House states, "It was such a great opportunity to be tutored from a Master Chef.  Chef Steve's bit of British wit makes learning easy. "

Each cooking class begins with a short dissertation from Chef Steve and usually a bit of information from a favorite classic text on the subject.  Then the students are off to the kitchen for the "lab" portion of the class where the bulk of learning occurs according to Anita Reese also Innkeeper of the Queen Anne Guest House.  "This is my favorite time in class because I learn so much from Chef Steve.  He is very generous in sharing tips and recipes. I know our breakfasts at the Queen Anne will be enhanced because of Chef Steve sharing in this class," states Anita.

At the end of class students are treated to a delicious meal created by Chef Steve.  Some of the class topics include "The Basics", Fish & Seafood, Beef, Sauces, Chocolate and more.  Anyone interested in attending a class may call 815-777-3773 for more information.
